I've coached a bunch of Little League baseball teams (as well as girls softball) over the last 5 years so I've become quite familiar with the various baseball options out there. Overall, my favorites that I've come across are made by either Rawlings or Diamond. No matter the brand, I'm not a big fan of the synthetic leather covered balls, even for practice. Synthetic balls are supposedly more durable and they definitely cost less, but I don't think the trade-offs are worth it. Once exposed to some weather they tend to get a more slick plastic like feel to them. For that reason, I'm always on the hunt for good genuine leather balls at a reasonable price. This set of balls is great, particular for the current sale price of around $35. For a dozen, that puts it at around $3 per ball, which is a very competitive price for high quality genuine leather youth baseballs. For this quality of ball, it is common to pay an average of $4-$5 each at local sporting goods stores. This set of Rawlings Babe Ruth League baseballs is on par with the genuine leather competition grade Little League baseballs by Rawlings and Diamond that are my favorites. Our area doesn't actually have Babe Ruth League, so this isn't what we'd use in games, but other than the printing on the outside, they are indistinguishable from our Little League game balls, so for my needs they are a great set of high quality practice balls.
